In the Fall of 2004, I took over the development of this web site. This site underwent a complete make-over and was relaunched in June 2005.
Site features:
- A bold and professional design that is easy to read and navigate.
- Developed using Cascading Style Sheets resulting in improved accessibility, usability and search engine positioning.
- A professional print view designed to further the client's image with the added benefit for Internet Explorer users that the hyperlinks used in the text appear as end notes on the printed page.
- The site contains more than 50 articles relating to family business issues, with new articles added on a regular basis.
- The site is liquid and expands and contracts based on the users' browser width and/or screen resolution.
- Ability to send an article to a friend or colleague and customize the email message that is sent.
- Customized site-wide search using Zoom Search Engine.
- Ability to subscribe to the Family Ties e-letter that is sent out 10 months/year. One can also invite a friend to subscribe. Archives of past e-letters are available on the site.
- Comprehensive Google Site Map.
- Several well-chosen cartoons are used on the site to add humour.

Email Marketing
Since March 2005, the client sends out a periodic E-letter to a permission-based list of subscribers. I designed the Family Ties E-letter template and use Constant Contact to send out the emails in both HTML and plain text formats.
