Government of Canada, Common Look and Feel, CLF 2.0

AccessibilityWeb Standards

The Government of Canada (GoC) has released its Common Look and Feel (CLF) Guidelines (version 2.0).

I’ll be reading through this over the next few days to get myself up to speed. It is a vast improvement and I look forward to seeing all government sites updated over the next couple of years.

I hope to be a part of the updating process too. :)

So it’s been close to 2 years, how did that work out for you? Given the rate of uptake and the lawsuits in progress, not good.
Is that because of the standard? or the fact you were part of the ‘updating progress’? or both? ;-)

  2. Mike Gifford Says:

I’d guess that partly it is because the documentation/guidelines still being written.

The accessibility issues behind the CLF make it always a bit of a moving target.
